Laznik Khaim (Chaim) Tanhumovich (15 September 1915, Smolensk) – civil servant.

Laznik's parents, Tanhum Laznik (1871–1939) and Tsipa Laznik (née Ritvo) Tsipa (1881–1941), lived in Latvia until World War I, and in the 1920s, the Laznik family moved to Daugavpils. From 1937 to 1939, Khaim Laznik served in the Latvian army. Until 1940, he worked in private enterprises in Daugavpils. He enrolled in the law faculty of Leningrad State University. He volunteered for the Latvian Division and in 1941–1942 took part in the battles near Staraya Russa. In 1942, he was seriously wounded and became a war invalid. Until 1946, he lived in Kazan. In 1959, he graduated in absentia from the Faculty of Law of the Latvian State University, but did not work in his speciality: at the end of the 1940s, Laznik contracted tuberculosis of the lungs, and in 1959, his condition deteriorated sharply. From 1960, he was a disability pensioner.

Khaim Laznik was awarded the ‘50 Years of the Red Army’ medal.

Laznik's brother, Peisach Laznik (1917–1942), died in battle near Staraya Russa in 1942. His sister, Rakhil Laznik (1911–1940), went missing during the war. His mother, Tsipa Laznik (née Ritvo) (1881–1941), a native of Krustpils, was killed by the Nazis in 1941.
