Katz (née Izrets) Vera Izrailevna (5 May 1949, Riga) — chemist.
Vera Katz was the daughter of Golda Izrets (née Volfson) (1912, Rēzekne – 1987, Riga) and Izrail Izrets (1909, Riga – 1987, Riga). In 1985 she started work as a research associate at the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the Latvian Academy of Sciences.
In her marriage to Yefim Katz (1947, Riga) she had two sons: Leonid Katz (1973, Riga) and Boris Katz (1977, Riga).
In 1992 she received permission to emigrate to the United States.
