He served as rosh yeshiva in Oshmyany, as Maggid and rabbinic decisor in Antokol, a suburb of Vilna, and from 5630 as rabbi in the city of Trakai.

He served as rabbi here from the beginning of 5638.1)

He passed away here on 27 Sivan 5657 (27 June 1897) at age 61.2)

He appears for the first time in the marriage registration book as officiant of weddings and kiddushin at the beginning of the month of Tevet 5638 (December 1877). He is also signed in the registration books of the community of Pilten and signs there “the rabbi from here.”
