Son-in-law of the Gaon of Rogatchov. After his marriage he served as rabbinic decisor in the city and served as rabbi at the Hasidic Chabad minyan called “der Farberisher Minyan” (the Dyers' Synagogue). Afterward he served as rabbi in Griva (see there) and as Av Beit Din in Moscow.
