Epstein Esfira Davydovna (1930)

Epstein (Akodis) Esfira Davydovna (1930, Riga) — office worker. Daughter of Akodis Dina (1901, Daugavpils) and Akodis David (1896, Zilupe — 1956, Riga). In 1951, graduated from secondary school in Kazan. In 1952–56 — student at the Riga Pedagogical Institute. In 1958–61 — secretary-typist at the House of Scientific and Technical Information. In 1962 — librarian at the “Kaija” rest home in Jūrmala. In 1963–65 — typist at the “Latkhoztor” depot in Riga. From 1966 — packer at the “Ausma” plant. Her marriage to Epstein Isaac (1927, Orsha) produced a daughter Epstein Darina (1957, Riga). In 1971, E. received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of a relative, Shapiro Manya (1905, Krustpils).
