Elyashevich Lev Isaakovich (1946)

Elyashevich Lev Isaakovich (1946, Riga). Son of Elyashevich Isaac (1919, Liepāja) and Elyashevich (Tsofnas) Mikhlya (1908, Preiļi). In 1964, graduated from Riga Secondary School No. 23. In 1964–67 — student at the chemistry faculty of the Riga Polytechnic Institute. From 1967 — apparatus operator at Riga Pharmaceutical Plant No. 3. In the 1970s, served in the Soviet Army in units stationed in Birobidzhan. In 1972, E. received permission to emigrate to Israel at the invitation of his mother's sister, Pirkas (Tsofnas) Sarra (1905, Preiļi).
