Buslaeva (née Gurvich) Raisa Abramovna Buslaeva (b. 1921, Dvinsk, now Daugavpils) – labourer.

Raisa Buslaeva was born to Abram Shevelevich Gurvich (1886, Dvinsk – murdered by the Nazis in 1941) and Revekka Izraylevna Gurvich (1888, Dvinsk – murdered by the Nazis in 1941).

She completed six grades of secondary school in Dvinsk and worked as an orderly at the hydrotherapy centre from 1936 to 1941. From 1941 to 1945, she was subjected to forced labour in the ghetto and concentration camps in Dvinsk and Poland. After her liberation, she worked as a nurse’s aide in an evacuation hospital in Poland (1945), then as a nurse in a military sanatorium in Bad Landeck, Germany (1945).

She returned to Riga and was a homemaker from 1947 to 1950. From 1950 to 1955, she worked as a shop assistant in the Fruit and Vegetable Trade Organisation, then in a dairy restaurant (1956–1960), and from 1962 to 1969 she was an orderly at Riga City Polyclinic No. 4.

In her marriage to Alexander Alexeyevich Buslaev (b. 1905, Krasnoyarsk), she had a son, Mikhail Alexandrovich Buslaev (b. 1946, Bad Landeck, Germany). In 1954, her husband was declared legally missing.

In 1969, Raisa Buslaeva was granted permission to emigrate to Israel, where her sisters, Rita Abramovna Nomberg (née Gurvich, b. 1918, Dvinsk) and Sofia Abramovna Sytina (née Gurvich, b. 1925), had already settled.
