Albrot (Pevzner)Inessa Ilyinichna (Born 6 June 1933, Minsk, Belarus) – Educator.
In the documents submitted to the OVIR of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Latvian SSR for emigration permission, Inessa Albrot (for her own reasons) stated that her father, Ilya Klementyevich Pevzner (born 1899), went missing on the Eastern Front in 1942, and her mother, Asya Alexandrovna Pevzner (born 1900), died in a bombing raid in Minsk in 1941. However, according to a certificate issued by the head of OVIR, Comrade H. Kaja, in 1976, her parents were still alive and residing in Riga.
When Inessa Albrot sent a request to her father via the Riga First Notary Office, asking for his stance on her emigration to Israel, Ilya Klementyevich Pevzner responded negatively through the same office.
Education and Career
Inessa graduated from secondary school in 1951 and moved to Moscow, where she cared for her ill uncle, Naum Alexandrovich Tomchin, until 1953. After relocating to Riga, she worked in various institutions:
Draftswoman at the Riga branch of the “Teploelektroproyekt” Institute (1953–1956)
Project Institute No. 1 of the “Latgiproprom” Trust (1956–1959)
Senior technician at the Special Design Bureau (1959–1961)
Riga Electrical Engineering Plant (RĒZ) (1961–1965)
Engineer in the OPTI department of the Diesel Engine Plant (1965–1968)
While working, she completed a correspondence degree at the Kalinin State Pedagogical Institute (now Tver State University) from 1963 to 1968.
From 1968 to 1972, she was a homekeeper financially dependent on her husband.
